Adventurous, exciting and at times even dangerous – the day to day life of a National Park Ranger. The fact is that rangers in the Hohe Tauern National Park have a key role to play in maintaining the biggest conservation area in the Alps.

You couldn't imagine the Hohe Tauern National Park without the rangers. They are the undisputed National Park experts, are very well trained and are all deeply rooted in the region. The rangers know the National Park like the back of their hands - every hidden corner, every rock and every plant.

With the rangers you get to head out on millennia old paths, discovering the many traces of the past on pilgrimage routes, trading routes, miners' paths, Alpine trails, passes and Alpine crossings. For nature lovers who have some Alpine experience, National Park rangers also have some 'really big' adventures in store. They take hikers safely through the mountains and help you see the alpine variety in a whole new light.
